I am so excited to be fundraising for my very first Women's Build! Since joining Habitat 5 years ago, I have been waiting for a Women's Build in Dutchess County. Everyone deserves a decent place to live, and a choice of what type of housing to live in. This Pilot Condo Program is giving a new type of homeownership opportunity through the Habitat Homeownership program in Dutchess County! Single family homes are not the right fit for everyone, and we hope to grow and expand options such as condos, townhomes, multifamilies and more in the future. Your donation and support of this exciting project can help it launch beyond a pilot!
Who do you donate for? If you know me, you know about my #payitforwardforwally campaign to keep my dad's generosity alive in his memory. Well this time around, I am celebrating my mom. Let's #payitforwardforJanet who raised two strong, passionate, fun loving daughters who give back to their communities just like she does. Janet, who is there for her friends to bring a meal or bring to an appointment whether it is a time of need or just because. Janet, whose passion for those she loves is unflappable. Thank you mom and all of the other amazing women who have taught me, lead me, modeled for me what it is to "be like a girl" and go beyond the boundaries of the neat boxes people try to put us in!
